Food Share

Cothrom works in partnership with the local Co-Op and Caboodle to help fight against food waste. Our team collects excess food from the Co-Op and offer it free to the local community.

We have two main food share freezers; one located in the main building, accessible from 0900 - 1645 on weekdays, and one in the polytunnels, accessible at all times. Contents vary between collections, but we always have plenty of variety.

No! Our food share freezers are for everyone. There is no eligibilty criteria or forms to fill out. Just come along and help yourself.
Food Share is about making sure good food doesn’t end up in landfill unnecessarily. It’s about tackling food waste and you can do your part by helping yourself.
No, help yourself to as much as you want/your freezer can hold. All our food share food is frozen so we recommend eating it as soon as it is properly thawed and not refreezing it, so take what you can use.
No, food in the Food Share freezers is free to a good home.
